About this dataset
Mempool Heat observations are recorded every 5 minutes from live Bitcoin network data. No historical values are backfilled or fabricated — the chart begins with the first recorded observation. This makes the dataset increasingly valuable over time as a genuine historical record of Bitcoin network activity.
The score formula (v1) combines network fee pressure (60% weight) and large transaction activity (40% weight) into a single 0–100 composite. Each stored observation includes the raw inputs used to calculate it, ensuring full reproducibility.
Historical data collection started August 7, 2026. Longer time ranges will become available as data accumulates over the coming weeks and months.
