What we collect. What we don’t.
Last updated: August 2026
No accounts, no personal data
bitcoinnews.io doesn’t have user accounts, logins, or forms. We don’t ask for your name, email, or any personal information to use the site or the dashboard.
Live market data
Prices, sentiment, and fees are fetched from public third-party APIs — CoinGecko, mempool.space, Binance, and alternative.me. Market cap and Mempool Heat are computed by us from that raw data, not fetched from a third party. Most of this data is fetched by our own server and cached briefly before reaching your browser. As with any website, your IP address is visible to our hosting infrastructure as part of normal web traffic.
Cookies & local storage
We store your consent preference in your browser’s localStorage (key: bn_cookie_consent) so we don’t ask again on every visit. This is not a cookie — it stays on your device and is not sent to us or anyone else.
Analytics: When you accept cookies, we load Google Analytics to measure aggregate traffic (page views, referrers, device types). Google Analytics may set its own cookies. If you decline, these scripts do not load.
Advertising:We display ads via Google AdSense. The AdSense script and any associated cookies only load after you accept via the consent banner. Once loaded, Google may set cookies to serve and measure ads, including personalized ads based on your browsing activity across sites. In the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, Google’s own consent mechanisms may apply in addition to our banner. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings or by declining cookies when prompted.
Changes to this policy
If what we collect changes, we’ll update this page. Significant changes (like adding new analytics or ad providers) will be reflected here before they go live.
